Lineage and focus on Indian equity markets:
We are pioneers in portfolio management services in India with over two decades of active presence in the Indian capital markets. Our group is a Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) registered portfolio manager. We have a team of sixteen investment professionals having cumulative investment management experience of over 100 years in Indian equities. They are guided by the principals who have illustrious track record of investing in Indian equities. They have been witness to economic metamorphosis of India and have thorough understanding of Indian business sectors, regulatory framework and possible pitfalls. We have maintained a single minded focus on India since inception which we believe is our core competence.
Access to group and industry resources:
Apart from internal resources, we have an access to vast resource pool across our sister concerns. We have developed significant management bandwidth across our other group companies like ASK Wealth Advisors (ASKWA) Ltd, ASK Real Estate Ltd and ASK Investment Holdings (parent company). A quick access to their domain knowledge offers a competitive edge. In addition to this we have nurtured long term relation ships with domestic and international brokerage houses operating in India, industry bodies, company managements and business arena in general. These relationships come handy while making important investment decisions on behalf of our clients.
Interest alignment with the client:
We have a structure where there is no conflict of interest between us and our clients. We are not a brokerage house, nor do we act as brokers in Indian equity markets through any other related entity. This ensures that we have no revenue advantage in increasing the number of transactions for our clients. Our only revenue source is the explicit fees income which in turn is strictly aligned to the performance of the portfolio. We operate through a panel of brokers and distribute transactions across them in a transparent and procedural manner. This ensures that our endeavors are aligned to client interest in direct as well as indirect manner. There are not many portfolio managers of our size operating with this structure.
Proprietary research:
With two decades of educative experience in Indian equity, we have systematically developed a repository of investment tools and techniques which allow us interpret and act with agility. For instance, we have developed internal software called ASKWARE which is a remarkable tool of analyzing company information and directly observe the impact of various scenarios on the valuation of the company being analyzed. The tools that we have developed internally are tailored to our valuation methods and perspective. We have access to various market tools such as Bloomberg, Capital Line, Miles Software etc which allows us to be in step with the market information flow. We use these tools extensively after adapting to our requirements.
Selective clients approach:
We have a very selective approach in terms of defining our prospective clientele. We would wish to be a preferred partner for clients that have a philosophical mindset for long term investment, and an inclination to the long-only way of investing. We focus on providing solutions tailored to client's requirements and risk appetite. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all approach to investment. This has resulted in few but focused clients with whom we engage continually and proactively so as to offer truly world class standards of advisory and service. We want to continue with this approach and be preferred audience to our preferred audience.
