The group’s CSR initiatives are as old as the group itself. It was the advice of his cousin and mentor to the group’s founder Chairman and his co founder brother, as they set out on the journey to build a financial services conglomerate. The advice was plain and simple - a proportion of one’s time, effort and money earned had to be necessarily contributed back to society, as even ordained by our scriptures. Since then the advice has continued to be the inspiration for the group’s conscious effort towards institutionalizing social responsibility.
While it is fanciful to talk about the group’s initiatives on the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), our reasons for mentioning it are two fold:
- To communicate the group’s philosophy and its approach to CSR and
- To inspire our stakeholders to empathize and maybe even participate with the causes that the ASK group would be championing
The group’s guiding philosophy on CSR has been to focus on empowerment as opposed to doing charity or granting donations borne out of sympathy. The primary focus areas of your group’s CSR activities are Education and Health.
